A Hacienda-Style Beachfront Villa Perfect for Big Groups

Casa Macumba is ideal for big family reunions, groups of friends and other special events. Our villa is spacious both indoors and out, with beautiful  ocean views from every bedroom and anywhere else in the villa, patio or gardens.

Amenities and Features

Our hacienda-style rental is laid out on one level, which means it’s wheelchair-accessible for the elderly or guests with disabilities. There are seven bedrooms with en suite baths and an 8th full common bathroom.

We have a full-time staff that includes the following:

Accommodation

Our property has recently been remodeled in such a way that it has not lost its Old Mexico hacienda style. We have new floors, hardwood doors, bedroom furniture including mattresses, and renovated bathrooms complete with granite countertops and marble sinks.

All of our bedrooms are equipped with new mini split air-conditioners to keep you cool and relaxed after a long day. If you include the other two villas, the entire property has 22 bedrooms and can sleep up to 44 people based on double occupancy. With extra guests staying in the bedrooms on twin beds,  the three villas have a maximum capacity for 72 guests. 

Easily Accessible for Guests

This wonderful vacation rental property is just 3.5 miles south of Old Town Puerto Vallarta. A quick 10 minute taxi ride will take you to the best shopping and wide variety of restaurants. The Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport is only 30 minutes away. 

Enjoy Other Outdoor Activities

Located on a mile-long sandy beach that’s safe for swimming and kayaking, Casa Macumba is only eight steps down to the sand from the patio. The beach has a gentle slope down to and into the water, which makes it easier for kids and the elderly to access. There are no drop-offs or undercurrents.

The villa is close to several zip-line canopy tours, ATV adventures and Los Arcos Underwater Eco Reserve, where there is great snorkeling just two miles south of the villa. The staff can arrange to have you picked up on the beach, right in front of the villa to go snorkeling, whale watching, bay and deep sea fishing!

This is one of the most awesome properties in PVR. The beach is the BEST, the staff incredible and the owner was very easy to work with!!

 

Beds are all comfy and the new bathroom upgrades superb!

 

We were blessed to have CARMEN again as our chef and her food was even better than we remembered. The weather for our stay was spectacular (March 1-8) and we even saw late whales breaching from shore.

 

Our only regret was the loss of the free night after committing to 7 which increased our price and shortened our stay right out of the gate.

 

My Mother had an unexpected hospitalization while we were there and it put a damper on at least my ability to relax for a couple days, but I have to say the hospital was incredible, the Doctors extremely attentive and the emergency tended to without a ripple.

 

Google the name of this place and know that the magic is real!!!

i booked this facility for my children and grandchildren for a week's stay

 

and I can't say enough about the quality of their stay . The setting is magnificent, the most beautiful beach in Puerto Vallarta and only 10 min from the old town by bus (10 pesos) or by Uber (60 pesos). The facility is superb, quite Mexican and in perfect condition from the beach to the pool and grassy and outdoor sitting areas through to the kitchen, dining room, living room and seven superbly finished bedrooms. That in itself would be enough for a great stay........but the staff and especially the cook made the kids (from adults to babies) week absolutely fantastic. There are excellent restaurants in PV but the food prepared by Carmin and the staff at Casa Macumba match the best of them.

 

Thank you.......from all of the excellent reviews, we expected an outstanding visit, but in fact your staff made sure that all of those expectations were exceeded.

Wow! It's almost impossible to describe this fantastic villa. Our group of 3 generations, ages 5 - 61, was completely taken with the experience. From our arrival at the airport, when the owner quickly changed our transportation arrangements at our request, to the very last minute on the property, we were amazed. Carmen's food never disappointed - the presentation and flavors were delicious! And quite economical. Danny's service was exceptional. He kept the margaritas, pina coladas and daquiris flowing every day. He arranged for a pinata for a birthday celebration, which the little ones loved. The heated pool felt wonderful after washing off the sand from the beach and ocean. And that beach!! It felt like our very own! We spent one afternoon with a cooler of drinks on the beach - boogie boarding, making sand castles, burying each other, etc. We had at least 8 boogie boards and 2 kayaks to play with. The hammocks in the yard were also a huge hit with our grandchildren. Housekeeping did a fantastic job every day, we hardly knew she was there! Our laundry was done as needed. The home is absolutely beautiful, with authentic Mexican decor, the yard and pool are beautifully maintained, but most of all, the staff is amazing. Our kids and grandchildren are hoping for a return trip, so am I!

I held my small wedding at casa macumba on Feb 9, 2019. There were 16 of us in total ranging in age from 7- 69. The villa is stunning, meticulously kept, lots of space for all to enjoy and it is just special in every way. But where this place really shines is in the staff! Carmen, Danny, Fermin and Leticia went above and beyond in so many ways! Particularly on my wedding day- from Carmen making the Best mahi-mahi any of us ever had to Danny keeping the champagne glasses topped up and showing us what you really should be doing with a piñata! The owner, was a great host- easy to communicate with before and during our stay and he arranged an awesome guide for a snorkel tour to Los arcos for us on short notice.

 

some things that were added bonuses I didnt remember reading in previous reviews- rooms are very quiet, but you can hear the crash of the waves, there are plenty of shaded areas all day for those who don't love baking in the sun.

 

I could go on and on.....thanks the owner and the staff for making my wedding very special!

We rented both Casa Macumba and Milagro together again this year. The owner and all of his team including Carmen the Chef, Daniel and all of the rest were amazing. We were a group of 23 gay men that were welcomed openly and treated to an amazing experience. We have done much research along the coast for a PV vacation and there is no match for these properties. Excellent pools, right on the beach, unequaled service. We hate leaving and having to share this find with others. Would love to stay year round. Thank you so much to the whole team.

I decided to treat my whole family to a trip to Puerto Vallarta to celebrate my 80th Birthday, so I started looking for a place to stay and found Casa Macumba. The pictures on the web site looked very attractive, and when we got there it certainly didn't disappoint us. This place is absolutely fantastic with seven great bedrooms and bath, a dining room to accommodate all 13 of us, the swimming pool vas really nice and warm, and only a few steps down to the best beach in Puerto Vallarta. The villa came with the most wonderful staff. Carmen, the chef, made the most delicious meals and the costs for the ingredients, which we paid for, were surprisingly low. The staff also included a server, who made drinks for us, a maid who cleaned our rooms, and a ground keeper to keep the pool and grounds clean, they even washed our rental cars. The staff was there every day to cater to all our needs without intruding on our privacy. What a wonderful group of people.

 

The total cost of the trip was a little more than I had planned, but it was well worth every penny.

The facility and staff were everything we had hoped for. Perfect location for the 6 couples. Carmen's cooking is unbelievable. The steak and lobster rivaled the best restaurants. No reason to eat anywhere else. Danny was the best! So helpful with everything we asked. Even helped us arrange for a massage company to come in for the girls. The rooms and grounds were kept immaculate. The owner was so easy to work with. Thank you for everything!

This is our second stay at Casa Macumba and Casa Milagro. We spent Thanksgiving week here with 32 of us. The accommodations are wonderful and very clean. There are 9 staff between the two houses and they took excellent care of us. The food the chef prepares is wonderful and there are tons of options. The grounds are well cared for. The pools are wonderful and the kids swam in them constantly. My favorite part about this property is that it is on one of the best beaches. It is absolutely gorgeous.

We rented the two villas for our sons wedding, we had to deal with Hurricane Willa and a very nervous bride, but the villas and the excellent staff erased all of the anxiety for the wedding party and the guest. The food was first rate and the staff pampered the guest more than we deserved. The view and access to the beach was so beautiful and effortless. My wife and I have been to Pueto Vallarta several times, but never have we had such a wonderful experience.

 

I will highly recommend Casa Milagro & Macumba to everyone!

You cant ask for more! The staff was excellent, food was on point! The owner was great to deal with! We went with 14 people and we all have nothing but great things to say! Never go to an all inclusive again! Right on the beach and close to town! Loved every second of this holiday!
